You made some of the illustrations on the cover of Katachi issue 1 ”Heroine”. Who is your heroine and why?

- Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth is pretty high up on the list of female inspirations; artist, feminist, mother, record producer, video director, actress AND an awesome bass player who rolls around on stage in a babydoll dress at the age of 50! What’s not to admire!?

Where’s your favourite spot to work?

- By my kitchen table.

So new week. Monday blues. How do you kick off your Monday or week?

- I work freelance, so I very rarely get Monday blues. My Monday could just as well be my Saturday.

Our upcoming issue is themed GOLD. “Gold digger” or “Fields of Gold”?

- Fields of gold, no doubt.

If you could win a gold medal in something, what would it be?

- I’m gonna be real corny and say creativity.

What’s your favorite gold item?

- Easy! My new gold boots!
